Solène Kermarrec

Kermarrec is member of the Berliner Philharmoniker since 2006 and the Twelve Cellists of the Berliner Philharmoniker. She has won several prizes, among them 1st prize in 2003 at the Gabrielli Competition in Berlin, and a special prize for the best interpretation of the Solo Sonata by Kodaly at the David Popper International Competition in 2004. She studied in the Paris Conservatoire with Jean-Marie Gamard, Budapest’s Franz Liszt Academy with Miklos Perényi, and Berlin’s Universität der Künste in the class of Wolfgang Boettcher.
